1.

3. If the first term and last terms of an A.P (a, a) are gigiven and theon difference is not given, then sum of n terms of A.FP.

Answer»

Sum of n terms = n/2 × [a(1) + a(n) ]

please give solution

S(n) =Sum of n terms = n/2×( 2a + (n-1)d )

Now we simply this,

We know a(n) = a + ( n - 1) d ......(1)

So, S(n) = n/2×( a + a + (n-1)d )

S(n) = n/2×( a + a(n) ) ..... Using (1)

a is first term.

Proved.
