1.

17. Solve the inequalities ()22-3s0 (b)

Answer»

i) x²+2x-3 ≤0 => x²+3x-x-3 ≤0=> x(x+3)-1(x+3) ≤0=> (x-1)(x+3) ≤0so, x belongs to [-3,1]

ii) (2x-1)/3x-2 ≤1 => 2x-1 ≤3x-2 => x≥ 1

iii) x²+x+1 ≥0 since the D of the quadratic is -ve.. so this equation is always +ve.. for x belongs to (-∞,∞)
