Let the present ages of son be n years.

∴ Present age of mother = 3n years.

Case 1:-

• 15 years HENCE, mother's age = 2 times son's age.

According to question:-

⇒ 3n + 15 = 2(n + 15)

⇒ 3n + 15 = 2n + 30

⇒ 3n - 2n = 30 - 15

⇒ n = 15

★Present ages:-

⇒ Present age of son

⇒ n years

⇒ 15 years.
