Answer» It means the wealth of the country has been accumulated by a select few. In a country like India where there are huge divide between the rich and the poor, the gap is widening. Just to put things into perspective of how large the gap is, 70–75% of the country wealth is with 1% of the population as of 2017–18 The problem lies not with the scarcity of resources but with the concentration of resources. A major part of wealth in India is accumulated by a small group of people. |
