M = 500 kg

m = 50 kg

u = 10 m/s

According to law of conservation of MOMENTUM,

Pi = Pf

Mu = (M+m)v

500 × 10 = (500+50) × v

v = 5000 / 550

v = 100/11 m/s

v = 9.09 m/s

Therefore, speed of the boat after man jumps into it is 100/11 m/s.
