Profit = SP - CP

= x / 12 - x / 16

= 4x / 48 - 3x / 48

= x / 48

Profit % =( P × 100 / CP )

= 100 x / 48 / x / 16

= 100x / 48. × 16 / x

= 100 / 3 = 33.3 %
