1.Two particles have equal momenta. What is the ratio of their de-Broglie wavelengths?OR

Answer»

We know that the wavelength will be given by the relation,

λ = h/p

where h = planks constant

p = momentum

Since h is constant for all particle, hence as long as the momentum of 2 particles will remain same they will always produce same wavelength.

Hence the ratio of the debroglie wavelengths will be 1:1 .
