Although the Industrial Revolution was helping out the world, many opposed it. Luddites were most popular among those opposed. Usually, their reasoning behind it was that they felt the need to stick to traditional and religious ways rather than use machines. Another popular belief was that new machines would take away jobs from them because the machines could do the work much faster and more efficient than the humans could.
