Answer» object moved through a distance can have zero displacement.☛ We know that displacement is the shortest distance between INITIAL and Final POINT of moving object with particular direction.☛ An object which has covered a distance can have zero displacement.If it is come back to its initial point.For example:-A boy is walking in a SQUARE field of length 35 m .He start WALK from point A and after moving along all the corners of the park of point B,C,D he again come back to the point A.In the above statement, the total distance covered by boy is (35+35+35+35)m = 140 m and his displacement is zero because the shortest distance between initial and Final point is zero. |
